Ken Loach

We’re very pleased that world-renowned film maker Ken Loach is an ambassador for our charity.
The societal reflections that Ken creates in his films like I, Daniel Blake (2016) and Sorry We Missed You (2019) highlight his determination to empower vulnerable people. This makes him a perfect ambassador and advocate for the work we do which aims to make a fairer society for everyone across Bath and North East Somerset.
At the launch of our debt advice service in Twerton, Ken drew attention to the plight of people living here, including the number of children who are living in poverty.
Ken has outlined the impact of Covid-19 on vulnerable people in our community and called for support for our charity’s efforts to help these people.
Dr Phil Hammond

NHS campaigner, broadcaster and comedian Dr Phil Hammond is an advocate for the work we do and a champion for the rights of patients, with a commitment to strengthening transparency within the NHS.
There is a clear connection between Dr Hammond’s work around patient rights and our aim of making citizens aware of their rights, so we’re delighted to have him as an ambassador for our charity.
In January 2020, Dr Hammond joined us for the launch of our money advice service in Twerton, during which he commented: “Debt and poverty have a huge impact on health and wellbeing, so I’m delighted to support this weekly outreach service.
“Getting the right advice about managing debt is as important as getting the right advice about managing diabetes.”
